Trashy Tesla
Owners
at Superchargers

Are they blind? lazy? don't give a damn?

I will confess that one of the biggest disappointments I have in the electric vehicle movement has been the realization that other EV owners can be absolute slobs, just tossing out their garbage on the ground. I guess I was too naïve, too stupid, to have assumed that those who had gotten rid of polluting tailpipes would, by definition, care about the environment, keeping our world clean, being considerate and courteous to others. My idealism about their basic decency has been shot to hell, reinforced every time I stop by our local Superchargers to help clean up the site. There is a huge garbage dumpster there, at the end of the row of Superchargers, as shown in the above photo. Those who plug in when passing through St. George are either blind, goddamn lazy, or simply don’t give an at’s rass about the world we live in. I have posted below some of the litter that I have gathered over time, and I will undoubtedly add more photos in the future.

The first year we had our Model 3, while on a roadtrip, I was appalled to see that some Tesla owners had just dumped their trash out at the Superchargers. At the time I assumed that it was just an rare instance.

May 14, 2019
Apparently not. A few months later, on the next roadtrip, I found more garbage tossed out at that very same Supercharger.

May 14, 2019
It was particularly irritatating to witness such a lack of decency, consideration, concern for our environment, since there was a garbage can only 10 steps away from that Supercharger!

March 11, 2020
On a subsequent roadtrip, when we stopped at the Superchargers in Las Vegas, fellow owners had again dumped out their trash all over the site, so I put on my gloves to gather it up and throw it away.

September 19, 2020
Although I never use our local Superchargers, I resolved to periodically stop by there and gather up the crap that Tesla owners would toss out there, like this junk at the main site…

September 19, 2020
…and more crappola at the smaller site near our Convention Center.

What? You don't like your takeout barbecue french fries? So you just leave it next to the Supercharger?

Yeah… while waiting to recharge, you can freshen up your toenail polish and then just toss the toe separator on the ground, right?

Why not floss your teeth while waiting for the charge to finish? You can then just throw your floss tool on the ground.

Nice. Bought some new shoes? Just leave the old ones by the Supercharger.

How delightful! These particular shitwits had tossed out three —count ‘em: 3!— rolled up dirty diapers.

The apple was too wormy for ya?

The biggest haul yet! Just dump all your garbage behind the Supercharger cabinets. Who'll notice, right?

May 1, 2022
Black sheep, black sheep, litter like a fool?
Yes sir, yes sir, two bags full!

So kind and considerate of the Tesla owners who tossed out 2 dirty diapers on the ground, let alone all the other trash.

October 13, 2022
I’m just a nanny for the Tesla toddlers who have money to burn…? What a generous tip.

Tesla owners are in too much of a hurry to get to grandma's for Thanksgiving…?

December 1, 2022
Tesla travelers’ leftovers from Thanksgiving, including two hiking sticks tossed on the ground after visiting Zion.

December 19, 2022
Peace on earth, good will toward others? Bah, humbug.

January 5, 2023
With the holidays over, I stopped by our local Superchargers to find… multiple bags of trash just dumped on the ground.

January 5, 2023
There were also food containers discarded behind the charging cabinets.

January 5, 2023
In all I had to pick up two bags full: not only numerous cups, straws, bottles, napkins, but three styrofoam food containers, 5 teeth flossers, and two rolled up dirty diapers. Happy Screw Year to you disgusting SLOBS!

February 2, 2023
So… did Tesla owners stopping at our local Superchargers make a New Years resolution to stop dumping their trash on the ground? I guess not.

February 25, 2023
So… over the Presidents' Day weekend, did Tesla owners traveling through St. George keep our local Supercharger site litter free? Do chickens have lips?

March 9, 2023
We stopped at the Tesla Superchargers in Baker, CA, on a roadtrip, and saw with disgust that some owners are so lousy at “basketball” that they can't even hit a rimshot with their trash.

March 28, 2023
Have a nice Spring Break, Tesla litterbugs? Thanks so much for dumping an old backpack containing a dirty diaper and towel, plus two full bags of garbage, some of it from a takeout food tray. Disgusting jerks!

May 7, 2023
Oh, that's just great: while waiting to finish charging, just "wash" your hair with dry shampoo, and then dump the can on the ground. Unbelievable!

May 22, 2023
These owners couldn't be bothered to walk 30 feet to the garbage bin, so they just hid their trash under the bush behind their Supercharger.

May 22, 2023
Among all those cans, cups, napkins, straws was a baby binky just discarded on the ground. I hope the infant bawled and screamed and drove its parents nuts all the way to the next Supercharger.

July 27, 2023
I don't know if I’m going to keep playing “nanny”to clean up after these toddlers. Gawd, I’ve been naïve to think that fellow Tesla owners would care about our environment and planet!

September 8, 2023
Lots of cigarette butts, but also empty cigarette packs among all the napkins, cups, garbage.

That’s it. I’ve had it. I CANNOT keep playing “Mommy” to these Trashy Tesla Toddlers, picking up after them at our local Supercharger. It’s a never ending job. These owners evidently drive their cars for the gut-wrenching power, blistering speed, head-turning style, elitist status symbol —but NOT because they actually care about the environment, the planet, the greater good. They have no decency. Let them wallow in their own crap.
