My first EV, our Nissan LEAF, had come with Paint Protective Film (PPF) from the factory, and I learned to appreciate how well it shielded the front bumper from kamikaze bugs and rocks over the years. I therefore decided to have a “clear bra,” as well as Ceramic Coating, installed on our next EV, the Model 3, which kept it looking just as unblemished. Consequently, having such protection installed on our new Ioniq 5 was a no-brainer. As soon as I got it home, I contacted the business that had previously applied the ceramic coating, RENU Automotive, and was delighted to learn that they now also apply XPEL brand PPF on cars. I set an appointment to have them install it on the front end, and then apply a lifetime layer of ceramic coating on the entire vehicle. It took them a day-and-a-half to complete the work, and I am more than pleased with the results.

My thanks to RENU for a job well done. Yes, taking these steps to protect a brand new car is fairly expensive, but I know from experience that the initial investment will prove well worth it over time.
